Brian Cushing and his Texans teammates celebrate some crazy bling: It's a jewelry party
Brian Cushing's time on the football field might be finished this season, but the Houston Texans linebacker was in action at the David Yurman store in the Galleria Tuesday night to help launch the men's Meteorite Collection.
The out-of-this world 25-piece collection features rings, cuff links, dog tags and chain bracelets from the 4-billion-year-old Gibeon Meteorite, which was discovered in Namibia in 1836. It was designed by Yurman's son, design director Evan Yurman.
A portion of the evening's sales went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Cushing suffered a season-ending knee injury in the loss to Kansas City on Oct. 20. Teammates Brooks Reed, Kareem Jackson and Johnathan Joseph showed up at the Yurman store to offer support. Former Texan Travis Johnson also made an appearance.
Also on hand were Cushing's wife, Megan, along with Faunah Schneider, Julie Baldwin, Sessie de la Torre, Kelsey Young, Kelly Meyers, Kelsey Doyle, Sam Foteh and Dahlia Ganim, Savannah Thomas and David Cantu, Jed Ortmeyer, Make-A-Wish board member Jason Kohll and Stephanie Kohll, and Make-A-Wish development director Stephanie Mewborn.
