Hipster hot: This creative lady knows how to go strapless and layer it in
Nothing too complicated about dressing for a DiverseWorks event, as the alternative artspace's patrons are an accepting and creative bunch. And more often than not some form of costuming is called for. Whatever feels right is what works.
We would bet, however, that there was surely some clever wardrobe pondering for the "Fashion Fete: Art of the Runway" fundraiser at DiverseWorks Midtown headquarters. With catwalk fashions from hipster boutiques such as Sloan/Hall, Laboratoria and Dryden Kreps and with accessories from local artists, one might have responded to a bit of fashion pressure. Few, if any, did it better than interior designer Lucinda Loya.
For this decidedly fashion-forward evening, she stepped out in a Clover Canyon strapless top worn over J Brand leather jeans, finished off with Giuseppe Zanotti booties. Her eye-catching hipster accessories included Hermés toggle earrings, BCBG metal necklace, Marc Jacobs cuffs, H. Stern dome ring and box clutch bag by Calvin Klein.
