You’ve yearned for the deep shine and intensity of Christian Louboutin’s signature red lacquering your nails and the shoe designer obliged with the launch of Rouge Louboutin. The next evolution of the exclusive brand is the unveiling of the other 30 colors in the collection Monday at Neiman Marcus.
Bypass the cosmetics counters and head straight to the shoe department for the display of lacquers that contain the highest percent of pigment in the nail industry.
Louboutin told Women's Wear Daily he wanted the nail polish formulas to have maximum impact, but without buildup on the nails, citing the "richness and finesse" of Chinese or Japanese lacquers that achieve "depth without thickness."
The expanded selection is grouped into Pop, Nude and Noir categories and all come in the architectural bottles, complete with signature wand. The luxury level polish is $50 a bottle.
The full collection of colors arrives at Neiman Marcus Sept. 1.
