What recession? Beyoncé buys $2,100 Thierry Mugler shoes in New York shoppingspree
It's nice to help out the economy. On a recent shopping trip in New York, Beyoncé, with bodyguard and assistant in tow, stopped into New York's Curve boutique while Nicola Formichetti, the creative director of Thierry Mugler, was checking out his collection.
The singer gobbled up a few Mugler items, including a pair of $2,100 pony-heeled platforms, the New York Post reports.
Beyonce has a history with the Mugler. He created the futuristic costumes for her “I Am . . . World Tour” in 2009 and Formichetti styled her and Lady Gaga in crime scene tape, studded jackets, vintage dress and Wonder Women outfits in their controversial video for “Telephone.”
