Studio Communications' Gail Rubin is in Los Angeles showing the unique Bullet Girl jewelry line created by Houstonian Jessica Meyer to Hollywood stylists and West Coast fashion editors. Rubin hit paydirt when Kim Kardashian’s stylist eyed the unique jewelry items made from ammunition and liked them so much that she immediately took several pieces to show to the reality star.
Long story short: Kardashian loved the Bullet Girl jewelry and even wore a bullet bracelet Friday night and Tweeted about it, with a photo of her arm caressing the steering wheel of a Bentley and the comment, "This time baby I'll be bullet proof."
As reported on CultureMap when the line was launched a few months ago, Meyer said she gets her bullets from her grandfather’s factory in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and was struck by inspiration after seeing the bullets with a fresh eye.
“I like the idea of taking something and making it beautiful,” she said. “I stamp peace sign on the bottom of the bullets as my signature and it’s a great way to honor my lineage.”
The bullet bracelet that Kardiashian wore retails for $400 at Sloan/Hall.
