It was time for sexy hot mamas to get back to basics at the latest gathering of the Mommie Series - Houston at La Mode Lingerie Wednesday night.
Stylist Misti Pace-Krahl came up with the idea for quarterly sessions for women (mostly, but not exclusively with children) to exchange information about their lives and listen to speakers. This gathering, billed as the "fall edition," brought together a team of successful female experts in the areas of family, health, finance and fashion to speak to the audience of mostly moms, all fashionably dressed in outfits more reflective of the summer heat.
Attendees wore chunky bright necklaces, short silk dresses, long maxis and colorful jeans —a big summer trend. Flashing smiles and sipping champagne and hors d’oeuvres from Green Plate Kids were Mandy Kao, Courtney Zavala, Connie Kwan Wong, Millie Fitzpatrick, Natalie Ariz, Jennifer Hutchmacher and Jessica Zapatero.
Speakers included Neha Gupta, owner of Elite Private Tutors; Dr. Debra Cutler, a pediatrician at Kelsey-Seybold Clinics; and Claudia Kolker, author of The Immigrant Advantage.
While the evening was educational, guests were also impressed by the hot summer beach bikinis and seductive styles on display at the store.
