Addicted to fancy footwear, stylish Houstonian turns to breezy dress to beat the summer heat
When the heat and humidity are soaring as they are now, tasteful options for dressing cool, calm and collected can be a challenge. Rachel Regan has found the answer in "easy summer dresses." Case in point, the recent kick-off for the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Gala, set for Oct. 29.
For the semi-casual cocktail hour at Anjeo, she wore a strapless dress by Alice & Trixie, a summery number she bought to go with her Rupert Sanderson of London turquoise and hot pink sandals. The shoes came first, then she had to match the dress. The necklace was a find at a boutique in Florida.
"As a mother of two little ones, ages 2 and 5, I would say my style is fun and easy," Regan says. "Especially in the summer. I love cute little dresses that I can throw on with flats if I have the kids in tow or a fab pair of shoes for dinner with friends.
"I would say my vice, without a doubt, would be shoes, shoes, shoes and more shoes…..and maybe handbags too!"
