Ben Platt's Big Night
Tony Award winner Ben Platt scores style points too, thanks to Houston shirtmaker

Ben Platt, the 23-year-old star of the smash Broadway hit, Dear Evan Hansen, was the big winner at Sunday night's Tony Awards when he was named best actor in a musical and Hansen was named best musical.
And so was Houston-based Hamilton Shirts, which created the bespoke white shirt that the actor wore to complement his blue tuxedo with black shawl collar designed by David Hart.
Working with Platt's stylist, Sam Spector, Hamilton Shirts co-owners David and Kelly Hamilton created the shirt with such styling details as a club collar with a rounded bib and fly front especially for the actor.
In addition to shirts for everyday wear, the company makes special occasion tuxedo shirts, all sewn in Houston. Customers can choose from 600 fabrics, ranging from classic white cotton to denim and gingham styles. Made-to-measure shirts start at $295; bespoke styles start at $365.
GQ magazine included Platt as one of the 10 Best Dressed Men of the Week while Vogue praised the actor's style in an article titled "How the Men Stole the Show on the Tonys Red Carpet."
