Wyatt's answers on The Tory Blog
Lynn Wyatt is the featured subject on Tory Burch's website. (The two are such good friends that the designer stayed at Wyatt's home during a recent Houston visit.) In a segment on The Tory Blog called "Cat's Meow," Wyatt, who is referred to as "style icon, legendary philanthropist and major league hostess," shares the secrets of her success and talks about other topics.
We thought we knew everything about Wyatt but we learned a few things from the exchange. Among her answers:
I love being a Texans because: The Texas girl has an innate can-do spirit, a combination of athletic prowess and smarts!
The best piece of advice I've ever received: Live in the moment. Laugh a lot and love a lot.
The secret to being a good hostess: To do all the preparation and work, even at the last minute, then when the doorbell rings, have fun at your own party.
Book I'm reading now: Alice Munro's Runaway. Munro has an understanding of people dealing with life between women and men that is eye opening.
A wink or a smile: Always a smile. A wink can come later.
