An unforgettable night
Sugar Land teen is national winner in prom makeover contest
Oh, high school prom. Left to one's own teenage devices, an unflattering up-do, an off-color cummerbund or any number of other mistakes that can cause emotional despair in the long and short term.
"I felt like a queen, and in fact I was a nominee for prom queen! I didn't win but my confidence still shone like a star throughout the night," said Anderson-Bledsoe.
Such was not the case for one Sugar Land student who had the stress taken out of those pre-prom preparations: Savannah Anderson-Bledsoe, one of three girls selected in the nationwide Plus-Size Prom Makeover contest by OneStopPlus.com, had everything done for her on the special day.
"I felt like a queen, and in fact I was a nominee for prom queen! I didn't win but my confidence still shone like a star throughout the night," said Anderson-Bledsoe.
As part of her prize, Anderson-Bledsoe received a complimentary hair and makeup appointment, a limo and a $500 shopping spree at OneStopPlus.com — she selected the colorful, flattering Strapless Print Gown in Pink Bubbles, topped with a simple black shrug.
