Bold colors and simple accessories are a winning style combo for creative director at Best Dressed luncheon
To catch a photographer's eye at the Houston Chronicle Best Dressed luncheon is no easy task considering the number of women who step out in the absolute best from their closets. But it was a slam dunk at the Hilton Americas-Houston for young mom/young professional Veronica Pullicino.
Her block print dress in pink and tomato red easily caught our eye. She found the dress by A.L.C. at Neiman Marcus. Due to the bold colors, she opted for simple accessories — a Valentino rock stud clutch from the Valentino shop in the Galleria and her YSL shoes from Net-a-Porter.com.
"I started with the bright citrus-colored, color-block dress," she explained. "I loved the playful personality and vibrance of the palette. Sticking with the two colors of the outfit, I added a clutch in the same color family. With the boldness of the dress, I wanted to keep the rest of the accessories simple, almost invisible, so I stuck with a simple pendant necklace and a neutral sandal. "
This native Houstonian is a mother of two and works as creative director at The Company of Others.
