Made in USA Pop Up
Traveling pop-up shop highlighting cool Made in USA fashion, accessories and home goods makes a Houston stop
You won’t want to miss this weekend’s Northern Grade pop-up event that aims to be Houston’s marketplace for all things made in the USA.
The lineup for the two-day event is filled with independent brands from in and out of state and is sure to please shoppers looking for quality products and entertainment. The pop up shop will be hosted by Stag, a Houston and California men’s clothing store, and Houston’s Manready Mercantile, but a sea of other retailers and brands will be setting up shop at the event.
Shoppers can expect to see handmade jewelry by ChrisRann, menswear by Kooth Brand, Native American- inspired leather goods by Ginew USA, handcrafted furniture from FMW | Fablab, and culinary tools by Bole and Buck. In addition to the local brands, a number of shops from New York, California, Washington, Missouri and Louisiana and Iowa will be landing in Houston to participate in this weekend’s marketplace.
Northern Grade was founded in 2010 with the mission to celebrate the diversity of American businesses that manufacture their goods domestically. The company holds pop-up shops year round in cities across America. Past Northern Grade events have been sponsored by both GQ Magazine and Fashionista.
Northern Grade will offer a space for Houstonians to support local businesses not only through shopping, but also with food and entertainment. EaDo’s popular cafe Tout Suite will be serving coffee and food at the event, and Shiner will supply beer.
Shoppers can also try New York cocktails served up by Brooklyn Gin, an American made gin brand from New York City, while DJ Dayta keeps the tunes spinning.
The eclectic weekend pairs great fashion, accessories, and home goods with delicious eats, drinks, coffee and music together and is free and open to the public.
The event, sponsored by CultureMap, will take place at 2327 Commerce Street on Saturday (May 2) from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday (May 3) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
