That's So Major
What to wear: Shoppers get the opportunity to consult with personal stylists atFashion on Sale
The array of retailers at CultureMap’s first-ever Fashion on Sale is impressive and exciting, but even for the most experienced shoppers, it can be a bit overwhelming.
Enter the expertise of fashion stylists Dawn Bell and Misti Pace-Krahl. The duo will be on-site throughout next weekend at West Ave at River Oaks, showing shoppers how to shop smart for their bodies and suggest the spring must-haves no girl can live without.

The retailers at Fashion on Sale run the gamut from Tootsies ready-to-wear to Marlo Miller’s modern rodeo style, so having experts who style for magazine shoots, runway shows and music videos is a perk you won’t find at the mall.
Both Bell and Pace-Krahl also work with women who get dressed everyday—and don’t have the paparazzi following them. At Fashion on Sale, they will be available for consultations so shoppers can be confident in what they buy and how to wear it once they walk out the door.
Bell, owner of Coronation Vintage and a vintage expert who has worked with Time, Women's Wear Daily, Country Living, More Magazine and AMC’s Mad Men, blends her style-savvy eye with the true understanding of what flatters each individual woman.
"You can maximize your time by knowing your own wardrobe needs. Look for well-constructed staple pieces that will last for many falls to come," Bell says. "A great jacket, coat or skirt that can be used with a variety of looks will also maximize your investment."
When not producing fashion shows and styling for editorial projects through her MistiStyle company, Pace –Krahl spends a lot of time in her clients' closets, organizing and making over their wardrobes. She’s major, like Rachel Zoe without all the dying, and has a banana load of tips for Fashion on Sale.
“I love a good sale. This is where I usually replenish lost items due to over wear or just plain losing them — hey, I travel — so make a list to be clear. We are all prone to purchasing items that are similar to what we already own,” Pace-Krahl says. “To maximize your time when shopping, think of the labels that you buy most. Seek out those designers when shopping, they clearly fit your body type and give you confidence.”

She also suggests saving time by grabbing two different sizes when trying on clothes.
Dressing rooms are conveniently placed throughout Fashion on Sale, so shoppers will have the opportunity to try on items before buying. Both Bell and Pace-Krahl will be available to work with Fashion on Sale guests who sign up for timed slots. It’s a benefit that helps a shopper stay focused on smart purchases that freshen up the wardrobe as we head into spring.
