Unicorn World tour gallops into Houston with magical family fun
Unicorns continue to cast a magical spell, and now there's a tour coming to Houston that's entirely dedicated to them. Called Unicorn World, it's an immersive, interactive traveling event showcasing the iridescent rainbow beast that will make a stop at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston on December 7-8.
The family-friendly event offers themed activities and photo-worthy experiences, including an enchanted forest, arts & crafts, and the star of the show: life-sized, moving animatronic unicorns.
Additional experiences include bounce houses, free-play toys, sensory tables, balloon bubble houses, and story time.
The concept was first created in 2022 by husband-wife duo Patrick and Lauren Mines, who debuted the first event in their hometown Knoxville, Tennessee, before taking the tour across the south and southeast to Alabama, Georgia, Indianapolis, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Ohio. (They simultaneously published a companion child's book of the same name which has one 5-star review.)
Now it comes to Houston for the first time as part of Unicorn World's 2024-2025 tour, which currently has 14 stops scheduled, including Dallas on November 2-3.
“Unicorn World has become a special place where families can create lasting memories together,” says Lauren Mines in a statement. “Unicorn World’s success reinforces our belief that family-focused events should be fun for every family member, and we’re committed to continuously enhancing Unicorn World with that goal in mind.”
Ticket prices start at $29.95, with children under age 2 getting in free. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold at the event. To manage event flow and crowd size, time slots must be reserved.
