Adam Sandler tops Turkey day charts with a turkey of a song
A video of Adam Sandler performing his famous "Thanksgiving Song" was the soundtrack of choice for Americans on Turkey day, peaking at 1.2 million views on YouTube. The song is a stalwart in the canon of Sandler holiday classics, such as "Chanukah Song," "Christmas Song," and "A Song for Elmo."
It's a sad moment for America when an outdated pastiche of a fairly obnoxious song comes in at No. 1. What happened to classic Thanksgiving lyrics, such as "Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater"? More importantly, why are Americans spending a family holiday plastered to the computer screen?
In the event that you can't get enough of the silly singer, you can catch more Sandler in his feature film with Katie Holmes and Al Pacino, Jack and Jill, which arrives on the silver screen on Dec. 2.
