A 2:45 a.m. showing of Harry Potter? HMNS has you Muggles covered
Forget about hammertime. Don't even think about summertime. What time is it? It's Harry Potter time.
But if you think you're seeing the witches and wizards of Hogwarts in the first part of the final showdown with the evil Lord Voldemort tonight at 12:01 a.m., then you've got the wrong time.
We suspect that throngs of Muggles have already swarmed greater Houston box offices for tickets to the 12:01 a.m. showings around town. So, unless the "Accio tickets!" charm magically works for the procrastinating lot, you'll have to wait until — gasp! — Friday night for your turn at Harrynation.
Unless you start throwing back the pumpkin juice now. Because if you can keep your eyes open until 2:45 a.m., the Houston Museum of Natural Science's Wortham IMAX Theatre has a sorcery surveying seat with your name on it.
Yes, the 12:01 a.m. showing is completely sold out. But 2:45 a.m. is as good a consolation prize as any, right? At least you won't be one of the unlucky ones that hits the pillow without a Harry Potter fix. The horror!
What can you do while you wait? Well, there's the Museum's Harry Potter Midnight Madness Premiere Party, for starters — which promptly ends at midnight. There won't be any butterbeer on tap, though, so we understand if you're disinterested in the nearly three-hour lag time. The real fans come out a few hours before dawn anyway.
Will you be seeing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at 12:01 a.m.? How about 2:45 a.m.? Tell us in the comments.
And hey, best of luck chasing Death Eaters out of your dreams afterwards.
