Oh, the humanity
Weatherman's guitar gently weeps out: Tongue hockey cannot save Houston's boy onBachelor Pad
- Say goodbye to the Weatherman.
- He might even have to put a shirt back on now.
- All Wes's manuevers couldn't save Gia
- Peyton had a love connection with Jesse B
Tears for Fears said it best: Everybody wants to rule the world. But as we learned on The Bachelor Pad, when plotting revolution, take care. Succeed and you hold all the power in your hands, but fail and your downfall is sealed.
So it's no surprise that Gia and Houston's own Weatherman Jonathan Novack — last week's winners and the remaining leaders of The Outsiders — ended Monday night's episode with a long, lonely ride in the limo.
The most exciting part of the episode was the opening challenge, one that (unlike last week's pie-eating contest) played to the contestants strengths. Yes: Kissing.
Jealousies flared, Gia bailed (really Gia, you "didn't think that everyone was going to turn into porn stars"?), Elizabeth and Natalie turned into man-eaters and in the end Peyton's soft kisses and Dave's aggressive lip locks won the day.
On the contractually-required date in Vegas, Dave takes Nikki, Krisily, and Natalie. His goal seems to be to sway Nikki (who's being rewarded for dismantling the Outsiders with last week's vote for Craig) and Krisily (who is now secretly in love with Dave's lips) more into his Insider-y group, and — with the date and the rose — to get Natalie half-naked (at least!) and into the luxury suite.
Mission accomplished, dude.
Natalie and Dave come home from Vegas "officially a couple" but after being burned by previous attachments — Dave with Jessie and Natalie with Jesse B — they are keeping it under wraps.
Peyton grabs two taken Insiders — Kovacs and Kiptyn — plus the in-demand Jesse B. on her drag racing date. It ends with a smooch and a rose for Jesse and another night in another luxury suite. I guess blondes DO have more fun.
With all the rotating lovers, it's almost romantic to see former bad boy Wes wheel and deal in a desperate bid to save Gia, even making decent cases to Kovacs and Kiptyn why they should turn on their alliance and vote out Elizabeth.
Considering what an anchor she's become to Kovacs, I'm surprised he didn't take the offer.
But in the end there was no hope for the vanquished, and Weatherman, who (aside from a kiss with Elizabeth and another end-credit guitar interlude) had a quiet episode, and Gia, who ended with a night of drunken flirtation with Wes, seemed to already know their fates. Yes, Jonathan Novack is eliminated early again with Gia joining him in being jettisoned from the Pad.
Based on next week's preview, it looks like the game is about to change with a round of questions designed to stir up trouble ("Who is the stupidest person in the house?" "Who has the worst boob job?"). Things are about to get ugly.
Maybe the Weatherman should be happy he's gone.
