Low — even for reality TV
Erica Rose bruised by Bachelor Pad 2 egg attack, but she will bikini fight on
The latest episode of Bachelor Pad 2 was painful to watch, with Houston's Erica Rose — blindfolded and bikini-clad — getting pelted by eggs. This, in answer to host Chris Harrison's question, which he posed to the male contestants, "Who is the least attractive?"
Most of the guys on the show responded to that by hitting Rose in the back with an egg filled with paint.
William Holman made his feelings on Rose clear, saying, "It's like Picasso went to town on her back." Michael Stagliano claims that he threw "like an 80-mile-an-hour pitch" directly at the target on Rose's back.
"It was really difficult to go through it on the show, and again to watch it last night," Rose says. "The challenge was scary and painful, and it physically really hurt ...
We called Rose to get the lowdown on the egg toss, and to find out how her wounds — physical and emotional — are healing.
"It was really difficult to go through it on the show, and again to watch it last night," Rose says. "The challenge was scary and painful, and it physically really hurt ... It was really insulting, standing in a bikini next to the skinniest girl in the house."
"I don't like other people to feel sorry for me," Rose says of her moment of vulnerability. She says she learned from the experience not to take everything so seriously, and that opinions about appearance are all subjective anyway. Speaking with the guys after the challenge cleared some things up, as many apologized and blamed their all-out egg attack on strategy. Her date with Stagilano later that evening helped her to feel better, too.
Public reaction on Rose's Facebook and Twitter accounts to Bachelor Pad 2 episode two has been nothing but positive, according to the reality princess. Rose says that she feels much more confident now, and promises that next week's episode will be a lot better for her.
