More hijinks in store
Reality princess Erica Rose makes her Bachelor Pad 2 debut at Fleming's watchparty
Erica Rose celebrated her third reality television debut in her trademark tiara Monday night at Fleming's steak house.
Decked out in a glittering pink mini dress — per her signature style — Rose drew laughs and applause from family and friends attending the watch-party for Bachelor Pad 2 as she danced on-screen in a hot pink string bikini and declared that there wasn't much she wouldn't do to win the show, outside of her moral boundaries. Moral boundaries which, as she admitted to much applause, aren't all that strict.
Although her declarations of "The princess is here," and "It's definitely a good astrological time for me right now" gave us high hopes for the show, Rose's screen time was largely stolen by her supposed new BFF, Vienna Girardi.
Girardi, who made a much-publicized visit to Houston last month to get a nose job from Dr. Franklin Rose, was famously once-engaged to fellow housemate Jake Pavelka — and it's this relationship that's set to steal the show for the season. Adding to the dramz is Vienna's new relationship with another castmate and her feud with another female.
Jake and Vienna are now an acrimoniously separated couple, although he gave her a rose — the show's version of immunity — in Monday night's episode as a gesture of apology, which she wasn't buying.
And to complicate matters further, there's yet another Bachelor Pad couple, Michael and Holly, who were once engaged. (Incestuous, no?)
So it is, sadly, that the show is more tears and tension than it is Erica Rose working out poolside in clear-plastic heels with two-pound weights.
Aside from our hope for more entertaining Rose screentime, we're interested to see how Erica and Vienna's current friendship develops. Although the two seem like (fake) bosom buddies now, in Monday's episode when Vienna entered the house Erica notably observed that Vienna "has been around the block a few times."
"I hear Vienna can be bitchy. She doesn't even have her own apartment, she just moves in from one guy's place to the next," Rose said of her now-confidante.
Rose's lack of screentime in place of the weepy Girardi and her nemesis, Gia, might've been the reason most of her Fleming's party cleared out an hour before the three-hour premiere was finished, but we still have hope for some Rose antics.
Likely sharing the same hopes are partygoers Franklin, Cindi and Ben Rose, Bubba McNeely, Nancy Marcus Golden, Beth Bryant, Rachel Walton, Cari Shoemate and Miya Shay.
After the show aired Erica Rose told KTRK that she feels like she provides comic relief in future episodes. And she confides that her real goal after she receives her law degree from the University of Houston is to replace Judge Judy or Nancy Grace on TV. Here's the interview:
