Odd Couple: Lady Gaga & Chelsea Clinton dominate CultureMap's top stories
What is it about Lady Gaga that's so appealing? Her visit to Houston was closely followed by CultureMap readers, snagging three of the top five most viewed stories of the week.
Gaga finally overshadowed Lois the corpse flower, who had her swan song, but not before the voice of the wildly popular CorpzFlowrLois was revealed at a rollicking midnight party at the Houston Museum of National Science. It was none other than CultureMap's own Steven Thomson.
No one can resist a fairy tale wedding, so Chelsea Clinton's nuptials also revived interest in a story about her engagement ring that originally was posted on CultureMap three months ago. Additional posts about the Clinton wedding were the top stories of the day on Sunday.
And everyone seemed interested in Shelby Hodge's guide to proper party attire. With the social season kicking in high gear next month, we bet it will remain a reference guide for Houston's social set.
Our "Rx in the City" special editorial series included fascinating interviews with Harris County Hospital District CEO David Lopez and UTHealth president Larry Kaiser. It's a big subject, so expect to see additional interviews and health-care related stories in coming weeks.
