No Blue Skies in his forecast
It's over: Jonathan Novack gets bumped from The Bachelorette
Reality Steve was right.
Just as predicted, former Channel 2 weatherman Jonathan Novack was bumped off The Bachelorette Monday night, even though he serenaded Ali Fedotowsky with a off-key song and was convinced that she would pick him.
"I feel like you didn't get a chance to know me," he whispered to her just before leaving.
And then he lamented to the national audience, "I don't know when i'm going to find love."
Given the track record of this show, Novack likely wouldn't have found love here, either. But he looked brokenhearted, nevertheless — perhaps because he missed a trip to Iceland, where Fedotowsky and the eight finalists are headed next week.
Novack's problem: He wasn't nutty enough.
We knew that Kasey, who stole away from the group and got a tattoo of a heart and a shield on the inside of his wrist to show Fedotowsky that he would alternately wear his heart on his sleeve and protect her, would make it at least another week because he's clearly cuckoo.
And Novack seems too nice to play the villain, a role that Justin, the professional wrestler from Canada, clearly relishes.
In these shows, everyone fills a slot. And the funny guy who doesn't have a whole lot of chemistry with the protagonist usually doesn't last past four episodes.
But it was fun while it lasted.
