DJ set at MKT bar
Insider access: Passion Pit plans exclusive performance after Free Press Summer Fest appearance
If you thought that Boston-based synth-pop band Passion Pit was a coup for this year's Free Press Summer Festival, then just wait until you hear what else they have in store.
FPSF has partnered with Phoenicia Specialty Foods on a co-branded entertainment collaboration over the next six months — and the first in the lineup is an official after party Passion Pit DJ set on June 1 at MKT Bar.
The free, 21-and-up event is open only to FPSF wristband wearers, who must RSVP online for admission. (The RSVP link goes live at 10 a.m. Tuesday.)
Houston DJs Dave Wrangler and Bahgeera start at 9 p.m., and Passion Pit — which plays the actual fest from 7:20 to 8:20 p.m. that evening — will go on at MKT Bar from 11 p.m. 'til 2 a.m.
After a day of fun in the sun, festival attendees will appreciate Phoenicia's limited food menu with ready-to-eat options, plus boutique wines and craft beers.
