CNN Reaches for Buzz
Camille Grammer and her bratty ways are perfect for the Oscars
Camille Grammer, reality TV diva and recent divorcee of Frasier’s Kelsey Grammer, has a reporting gig. But don’t worry, news fiends — she’s set to cover the Oscars not Libya.
The cattiest cast member of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will co-host with TV personality AJ Hammer and entertainment anchor Brooke Anderson on CNN’s Showbiz Tonight: Road to Gold. (Here's an idea: Camille marries AJ Hammer and the two start a spinoff reality show Grammer-Hammer.)
Dave Levine, the senior executive producer for CNN Entertainment, is thrilled to welcome Grammer as a correspondent, saying, “We can’t wait to get Camille’s unabashed take on Hollywood’s biggest night. She will be perfect for Showbiz Tonight, TV’s most provocative entertainment news show.”
We're eager for Gammer’s outlandish opinions on celebrities’ gowns and actors' nominations. The housewife is notorious for her bratty remarks, which she openly recognizes as “obnoxious.”
Browse our sampling of Camille’s most ridiculous comments, gathered from Wetpaint.com:
On how jetting across the globe first class is “green”:
"God, this is going to sound so obnoxious. Kelsey and I have been flying private for years, until recently — now we’re taking more commercial. So, you know, we try to be green."
Please don’t voice this complaint to anyone renting inside the 610-Loop:
"The only thing is, the apartment was a little small for us. It’s about 3,500 square feet, but, I mean, that sounds pretty obnoxious, but for us it’s small."
Asking us to withhold judgment doesn’t always work:
"This is gonna sound crazy, don’t judge me — no, I have four nannies, and they rotate."
Grammer will fit right in with the high-rollers set to attent the Academy Awards. Perhaps her untamed tongue will incite red carpet drama? Regardless, Grammer’s one villain we love to hate and sure to offer an amusing perspective.
