Name Game
Baby Blue: Confusion surrounds baby Beyoncé's name & Suri's pissed, but thischoice makes sense
Blue Ivy Carter. That's the official moniker of baby Bey, according to longtime pal and confidante Gwyneth Paltrow.
Although much of the twitterverse misreported the name of Jay-Z and Beyoncé's baby as Ivy Blue over the weekend, Paltrow and other public celebrity well-wishers set the record straight. The significance of Blue, it's been reported, is in honor of husband Jay-Z's wildly successful Blueprint albums. The Ivy, (as I called early) is for the number four ("IV" in Roman numerals), a significant number for the couple, who were each born on the fourth and married on April 4, 2008.
As celebrity baby names go, this one is pretty reasonable. Moreso definitely than say, Paltrow's own Apple and Moses, Mariah Carey's dem babies Monroe and Moroccan, Ashlee (what hope did they have, really?) Simpson's Bronx Mowgli or my personal favorite, Jason Lee's Pilot Inspektor.
Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell comes close to making our list of the worst with daughter Bluebell Madonna, but us Texans can't sweat her for that.
Tell us: What do you think of Beyoncé's baby name?
