Cutest pregnant woman ever
Blame Ryan Seacrest, not Beyoncé, for New Year's Eve dupe: She rocked sky-highheels with Jay-Z instead
How did Beyoncé celebrate New Year's Eve?
Apparently not cuddling with her newly-arrived baby girl and husband Jay-Z. Despite reports of an imminent birth, there is no sign of a new arrival for Bey. And despite Ryan Seacrest's misleading suggestions, Houston's own music force did not ring in 2012 with a live performance on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eveeither.
"You will see Beyoncé on the show," co-host Seacrest told Extra in an interview before Saturday night's big show. "I can't tell you too much because they don't tell me too much, but if you're a Beyoncé fan — and man, is she looking good these days — you'll want to see Beyoncé."
"She looked amazing. She wore sky-high heels. It was really impressive for an enormously pregnant woman."
Seacrest also tweeted about Beyoncé's upcoming appearance, which set off a social media frenzy on the last night of 2011 — with many on Twitter speculating that Beyoncé might be appearing live via satellite from a maternity ward with the new baby. Which left many disappointed when Beyoncé's contribution to the show consisted of a long-ago taped performance and message to Dick Clark.
Don't blame her though. This is a Seacrest dupe.
Bey spent the night before the new year dining with Jay-Z on fried chicken and oysters at Brooklyn's Buttermilk Channel.
"She was definitely a pregnant lady that night," a source told People. "[Beyoncé and Jay-Z] sat side by side and had a cozy and intimate dinner. They seemed to be having a lovely time.
"She looked amazing. She wore sky-high heels. It was really impressive for an enormously pregnant woman," claimed the source. "She looked like she was about to give birth."
Sister Solange Knowles agreed that a very pregnant Beyoncé looked fantastic.
It seems that the whole family spent the evening at Solange's house party, and in a flurry of New Year's Day acknowledgements, the hostess tweeted: "Shout out to my sister for being THE cutest pregnant woman ever!"
And as for Beyoncé's New Year's Rockin' Eve appearance? It was a previously-taped, never-before-seen video of Beyoncé, pre-baby bump, performing "I Was Here" in London.
Maybe a bit of a let-down for those fans hoping to see Bey in person —"Beyoncé couldn't be here tonight because she's about to give birth to her first child," Seacrest explained, once everyone was already tuned in — but a powerful performance nonetheless.
