Who could say no to those eyes? Lily is a 44-pound pup currently available for adoption.
Put aside those thoughts of chocolate, champagne, and roses this Valentine’s Day — after all, who needs roses when you can have wet noses?
The Houston SPCA wants you to consider opening your heart to a homeless pet with an adoption package that will inspire immediate heart eyes for any animal lover who is ready for a new family member.
This February 14, all dogs over 35 pounds (more to love, right?!) come with an adoption package valued at $500 for only $14. This includes:
- Health exam
- Microchip
- Spay or neuter surgery
- Most up-to-date vaccinations
- Bag of Hill’s Pet Nutrition dog food
- VCA Animal Hospital free post-exam
To make this month of love a little sweeter, all cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies are $14 off their regular adoption packages through February 28 (excluding those big pups adopted on Valentine's Day).
Pet adoptions range from $35 to $195. View all available pets at HoustonSPCA.org. The Houston SPCA is open every day from 11 am-6 pm for in-person visits.
Something to remember: Adopting a pet is an important, life-changing decision, and animals should only be given as gifts if the receiver truly has the time, means, and desire to responsibly care for them.
The Houston SPCA encourages potential adopters to consider if they are ready to bring a new companion into their lives and commit for the next 10 to 15 years. These tips can help you determine if your heart is ready for adoption.
