Pix of the Day
Making Philanthropy Day count: New garden beds, a classroom and murals for avery special House
Professional services company ARAMARK has long partnered with Neighborhood Centers Inc., Houston's largest nonprofit aimed at serving high-needs areas with community-based programs, contributing $1 million in aid and thousands of hours of community service over the past five years.
On National Philanthropy Day, the pair announced the establishment of a new partnership with an ARAMARK Building Community Zone at NCI's Ripley House. This hub of heath and wellness education will be ongoing, with the company's dieticians and culinary professionals providing advice and information to area residents.
This Pix of the Day captures ARAMARK employees gathering before a day of volunteering last week. Nearly 100 employees worked together to create new garden beds, build an outdoor classroom, revitalize recreation and play areas and paint wall murals at Ripley House.
