Election Night at Hilton Americas-Houston was about as lively as Day of the Dead skeletons at East End Gallery. A ballroom meant for at least 2,000 held only about 70 supporters (almost outnumbered by the media) for Bill White's party.
The Democrats didn't stand a chance — and they knew it. Spirits were still somewhat moderately high. At about 9 p.m. Tuesday night, White graced the stage with his wife Andrea and their kids. In his concession speech, White encouraged his supporters to not look at their new/old governor Rick Perry as a bad guy, but to continue their activism in politics for a better Texas.
