Pump some air in those tires
No more excuses: Registration is open for the 2011 BP MS 150, and you're doingit
Runners strive to complete marathons to prove their worth as athletes. Adventure racers mangle multi-day expeditions and show the terrain who's boss.
And cyclists? Well, they have those long-distance roadway slogs to prove their mettle cannot be melted.
Enter the BP MS 150.
Remember how you said you'd do it last year, but you kinda wimped out? Or you didn't have the money for the right bike? Or you hadn't been training hard enough?
We don't want to hear any of that whining this time around.
Registration is open as of right now for the two-day, April 2011 ride from Houston to Austin — 182 miles — and we aren't entertaining your excuses anymore.
You know you've wanted to do this ever since you graduated from training wheels to your big kid bike. And it was cemented in your brain after you watched fellow Texan Lance Armstrong trounce the world seven times in the Tour de France.
Why not you? 2011 is your year. You're doing it. Yes. You. Are. Besides, the race raises money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. So what's the hold up?
Register already. And if, for some reason, our motivational speech isn't enough, then by golly, this video had better be.
