Team Perry or Team White for governor? Cast your vote allegiance in theCulturePoll
When it comes to November's election, there's no race more hotly contested than the battle royale between long-standing governor Rick Perry and former Houston mayor Bill White to lead the state.
For the millions of campaign dollars spent, heated debates (or lack thereof) conducted, and clever smear campaigns executed, what really matters is one fateful day in November, when you and the rest of Texas cast their ballots.
Or you can vote early.
Not at the polls, per se (although we encourage you to embrace your civic responsibility and do that, too).
But for those of you that would rather make an immediate selection (without having to make it official), we're giving you the option. Right now. In our latest CulturePoll.
Who do you want to be running Texas come January 2011 — incumbent Rick Perry or Houston's hometown challenger Bill White?
As proof that we listen to your little mouse clicks, when we asked, "Which Texas college football rivalry is the most mismatched?" you answered with a resounding, Texas A&M-University of Texas. And we heard you, loud and clear.
Many of you obviously feel that the Aggies are deluding themselves in thinking they are a worthy foil for the Longhorns' football program. Of course, after Rice shocked the University of Houston last weekend, any argument the Cougars had that they were above looking at the Owls as rivals is gone.
Your vote counts, so be sure to take part in the latest CulturePoll. Because when the masses speak, we listen. And publish.
