Oprah is taking over the Hobby Center: To hold a special Lifeclass with JoelOsteen & Rick Warren
Oprah's Lifeclass — the OWN show dedicated to breaking down all of Oprah Winfrey's "lessons, revelations and aha moments over the past 25 years . . . to help make your life better, happier, bigger, richer" — makes a stop in Houston on Friday.
As part of a six-week series of road stops to visit spiritual leaders and inspiring teachers, Oprah will launch a global discussion about self-worth struggles and dead ends with Pastor Joel Osteen of Houston's Lakewood Church and Pastor Rick Warren of The Purpose Driven Lifefame, filming in the Hobby Center's Sarofim Hall. While there has been no official confirmation that Oprah herself will be there and everything is being kept very hush hush, she has made every other road stop in the Lifeclass series.
The FAQ information sheet for the Houston taping also asks that ticketed audience members do not bring any gifts for Oprah as they will not be accepted.
Friday's episode, entitled "I Am: Life is How You See It," will include a chat with Osteen on "positive thinking and dreaming big" beginning at 10 a.m. and another with Warren about "winning the hand you're dealt" and his bestselling book at 4 p.m. — and they'll be taking questions in real time.
All the free tickets to the taping are gone with audience members selected in a random lottery system on the OWN website.
Even if you didn't score tickets to the live tapings, you can tune into the talks live via Webcast.
