Break into your piggy bank for the Berry kids: It's a family fun event for carcrash orphans
As the Berry kids continue to recover from the horrific car crash that killed both their parents, communities around Houston and beyond continue to give generously to the Joshua and Robin Berry Children's Trust. Everything from lemonade stand proceeds to marathon team fundraisers to an international campaign powered by superstars like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga have been part of the amazing effort.
Now, it's time to empty the piggy bank.
A Piggy Bank Bash 4 the Berry Kids will be held Sunday at noon at the Perry Family YMCA in League City to help raise funds for the children's continuing needs and medical expenses. And you can be sure that some kid friends of the Berrys will be actually emptying their own childhood piggy banks to help their buddies.
With a bounce house, a rock wall, a petting zoo, a silent auction, live music, and more, the fundraising event should be fun for kids and adults alike. Be sure to bring your spare change and your checkbook. Every penny counts.
Nine-year-old Peter and 8-year-old Aaron — who are paralyzed from the waist down — have returned to school and reunited with their 6-year-old sister Willa in Houston after 10 weeks of intense rehabilitation at Chicago's Shriners Hospital. Keep up with the Berry children, and find out about more ways to give and participate, by checking out the Joshua and Robin Berry Children's Trust Facebook page.
