KUHF shifts Sunday morning line-up; catch today's puzzle from Will Shortz here
Regular listeners to KUHF's Sunday morning lineup were in for a jolt today upon learning that the station has shifted its weekend programming.
Weekend Edition Sunday, the popular NPR morning news program hosted by Audie Cornish (and for years until her recent retirement, hosted by my favorite, Liane Hansen), has been moved an hour earlier. It now runs 7-9 a.m., the same hours as the program runs on Saturday.
Fresh Air Weekend with Terry Gross, which ran at 10-11 a.m. on Sundays, is now broadcast from 9-10 a.m.
A repeat of Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me! now runs in the 10-11 a.m. hour. (It also is broadcast on Saturday at 10 a.m.)
Says You!, the weakest link in the lineup, is now broadcast at 11 a.m. on Sunday, trading places with This American Life, which now moved to Saturdays at 11 a.m. (This American Life can also be heard Mondays at 6 p.m. on KPFT-FM (90.1).
The new schedule has disrupted Sunday mornings in our household, where we are used to a leisurely breakfast while listening to such features as theSunday Puzzlewith NPR puzzlemaster Will Shortz. The feature did not appear in the last hour of Weekend Edition Sunday on KUHF (88.7) this morning as it usually does, but I found it on the NPR website, so you can play along here.
