Beyoncé's Coney Island video shoot leaves woman frantically stranded at top of Ferris wheel
While Beyoncé is squealing with joy in photos of her recent whirlwind trip to Coney Island, one park-goer there during the video shoot was crying out in terror.
Coney Island was absolutely no fun for 47-year-old Dorris Hone, who became trapped high above the boardwalk as our favorite bootylicious babe boarded the Wonder Wheel, according to a report by The Daily Mail. The singer took 30 minutes for makeup touch-ups – all the while unknowlingly leaving Hone, who is admittedly afraid of heights, dangling high above in a Ferris wheel cab.
“When I was realized I was stuck up there, we were up there for a while, I started freaking out,” Hone told a reporter with the New York Post. “I’m afraid of heights. I was horrified.”
Beyoncé had been at Coney Island for the shoot for hours and was captured on camera riding several of the famous attractions, including the Cyclone roller coaster. But when she got to the Wonder Wheel, the ordeal began for the Manhattan woman.
The ride operators at the New York amusement park apparently forgot about Hone and her friend, unloading about six to 10 other riders from the cars and then stopping when Beyoncé and entourage arrived. When the big wheel finally stopped, Hone hurried off the ride. That's when the flustered woman found out the pop star was in the house.
“Ironically, my son is a big fan of Beyoncé,” the single mother said. “I’m just really shaken up. It would be nice to get an apology from her.”
Beyoncé was evidently unaware of the events unfolding as she continued her tour of Coney Island, giving hundreds of other fans present the thrill of their day.
