Whooo's so nice? Rice has nation's happiest students in Princeton Reviewrankings — again
We're not sure whether it's the on-campus bars, a predilection for running around naked, or just the bumper stickers reminding them that they're smarter than everyone else, but Rice University students have once again been ranked the happiest college kids in the nation by The Princeton Review.
For the 2013 edition of The Best 377 Colleges, Princeton Review asked 122,000 to rate their universities in 62 categories from the quality of teaching and best financial aid to how politically active the student body and how nice the dorms are.
When it comes to quality of life, the Owls dominated.
When it comes to quality of life, the Owls dominated. In addition to nabbing the top spot for "Happiest Students" for the second year in a row, Rice was second only to Claremont McKenna under "Their Students Love These Colleges," and to Elon University in the category of "Best-Run Colleges."
For the first time in four years, Rice lost its place at the top of the "Best Quality of Life" list, taking the No. 2 spot after Bowdoin College. The college was also singled out among the top 20 schools in Lots of Race/Class Interaction, Great Financial Aid, Town-Gown Relations Are Great, Best Health Services and Best Athletic Facilities.
