Seinfeld's a Sweetie in Music City
Spongeworthy: Jerry Seinfeld brings attention to the forgotten flood
Jerry Seinfeld is now among the celebrities bringing notice to the Nashville disaster the national media forgot.
Seinfeld is donating all of the proceeds from his show tonight — at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville — to relief organizations in the city.
More than 30 people died in three states as a result of the storms that ravaged the southeast.
A benefit concert, headlined by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, is slated for June 22 with performances by Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn and Miranda Lambert, among others.
Taylor Swift donated $500,000 and will also perform at the benefit, called "Nashville Rising," and a telethon hosted by Brad Paisley and Lady Antebellum is scheduled for Sunday night on GAC.
Even Ke$ha is getting in on the action. You might not think it, but the pop tart with a penchant for experimental fashion is a Nashville native.
