New York's DJ Zone and late crowd rock the night at Houston Symphony Ball after-party
Applause, applause for Lindley and Jason Arnoldy, whose stewardship of the Houston Symphony Ball after-party resulted in a rockin' scene with 200 late-night/cocktail-attired revelers going at it until closing time at 2 a.m.
Not all gala after-parties enjoy the energy that pulsated through the grand tent on the Rice University campus. As the late hour approached, one end of the ballroom tent was subtly reworked by special events designer Todd Fiscus of Dallas into Club Russe, a logical transition from the "Russian Rhapsody" theme of the gala itself.
While Jackson and Co. provided the strawberries Romanoff and other sweet treats and the bar dispensed white Russians along with other libations, it was DJ Zone who kept the dance floor packed. His presence was made possible by sponsors Audrey and Brandon Cochran.
Tripping this night fantastic were a few holdovers from the ball proper including gala chairs Phoebe and Bobby Tudor, honorees Margarita and Hans Graf, Margaret Alkek Williams and Jim Daniels, Rosemarie and Matt Johnson and Fiscus with his partner, Cerón.
Making the scene were Divya and Chris Brown, Sarah and Ben Cotting, Nick Roth, Blair Thrasher, Jo A. Simmons, Carrie Colbert, Lauren Baughman, Max Barrett, Ting and John Bresnahan, Sami and Jud Morrison, Amanda and John Seaberg, Rachel and Jason Volz, Burt Chao and Sarah Dooley.
