Remember this video?
You might not — it's circa 2007, an eternity in Internet time — but Nora the piano-playing cat has accumulated such a devoted fan base that her music has its own website. And now, with the help of the Houston Symphony, she's making her foray into catssical music. (The joke works; don't test me.)
During the first half of this weekend's Kenny Loggins concerts, the Houston Symphony "will go where few orchestras have gone before" (with the exception of the Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra, who's done this exactly) and perform alongside a projected video of Nora the piano-playing cat. It's being dubbed Houston's first-ever "CATcerto."
We understand that classical music-types might not be up-to-speed when it comes to viral vids and Internet memes, so we spent some time trolling the Interwebs on their behalf and put our heads together for this list of other, more current videography to set to music:
Shark Week — Blue Planet was such a success in 2009. We think it begs for a sequel in Shark Week: Chompin' to Chopin.
Celebrity Tweets —It worked for Josh Groban — you could partner with Houston Grand Opera!
Maria Aragon's Anything — Cute kids > cute animals, and the girl can sing.
