Designer Josie Natori gets up-close and personal at intimate charity luncheon
What:Foundation for Teen Health designer luncheon.
Where:Tootsies.
The 411: With designerJosie Natori in town for a trunk show, what better time to have an intimate benefit luncheon? That was the motivation behind the midday gathering that featured up-close-and-personal time with Natori as well as an opportunity to view her latest designs showcased by lithe models. And you can't go wrong with lunch catered by Tony's.
In recent years, Natori has expanded beyond her traditional lingerie and loungewear collections to include daytime ready-to-wear clothing and home decor offerings. A portion of Natori sales from the day were earmarked for two of the Baylor College of Medicine Teen Health Clinics — Project Bootstrap, an education program for young men, and Centering Pregnancy, a prenatal care and education program for young couples. The luncheon served as a kick-off to the Oct. 21 "Hope for the Future" benefit luncheon.
Who: The lunch bunch included Judge Clarease Yates, Suzy Simons, Dr. Kelli Cohen Fein, Darby Hopson, Phyllis Williams, Joann Crassas, Martha Ann Snyder, Juliana Rabe, Sharon Dreyer, Audrey Drought Mitchell and Linda Bloss.
