Glam doctors in H-Town: Producers prowl medical center in search of next big reality TV star
How do you spell stethoscope? That could conceivably be a criteria used by the production company that is currently casting in Houston for a promising reality TV series. Yes, really.
Purveyors of Pop and producers of Real Housewives of Miami are prowling the Texas Medical Center for female docs and wives of physicians willing to lay open their lives for the cameras.
Casting needs to wrap within the next couple of weeks and there are still positions to fill. So step up ladies. If you are attractive, aged between twentysomething and fortysomething (though that age requirement is not rock solid) and have medicine in your life, you can reach out to Purveyors of Pop at houstonmdcasting@gmail.com.
A source close to Purveyors of Pop's tells CultureMap that any medical connection will work — female dentist, plastic surgeon, cancer researcher, pharmaceutical mogul or gals married to anyone in lab coat or scrubs.
"We're looking for an amazing cast, women with dynamic personalities who can give us access to their world," she said.
The colorfulCindi Rose immediately comes to mind, she and plastic surgeon husband Dr. Franklin Rose not ones to shy from the cameras. Although their daughter, Erica Rose, who has had her spin in front of the reality cameras, is more age appropriate, Terrell says, "We're open to everything."
While we've seen these casting crews come through town before with no results, Terrell says, "This is for real."
