    Where To Shop Right Now

Where to shop right now: Sexy workout wear, chic jewelry, custom-made shoes and more

From cool suits and fashionable kicks to edgy tees and customizable jewelry, we’ve got your guide to some stellar products and fashion finds. Here's where to shop right now in Houston.

Sexy activewear at More Than You Can Imagine

More Than You Can Imagine owners Vicki Rizzo and Mauri Oliver always like to offer customers new and interesting items. This time the vintage designer/home decor store is featuring a sexy workout wear line called BrasilSul with body-hugging Supplex fabric that makes any derriere look shapely. "It's very flattering," says BrasilSul Texas state distributor Marisol Bolado. "That's why women like it, not only because of the style."

The most popular activewear in body-conscious Brazil, the collection features tanks, leggings, shorts, jackets and bodysuits in bold colors and bright prints, ranging in price from $29 to $89. "Look at the popsicles," Bolando says, referring to one print. "Aren't they fun?"

Eddie Borgo jewelry and accessories at Target

Eddie Borgo may not be a household name, but that’s about to change thanks to a collaboration with major retailer, Target. Put your own spin on Borgo’s chic jewelry, accessories, and even wall art, by bedazzling it up with charms, studs and totems. The limited-edition collection from the New York-based designer is available online and in stores now.

    Summer suits at Suitsupply

Lighten up with a cool tailored silhouette from a standout label including the classic Lazio and the contemporary Hudson, at the posh men's clothing store. Fabrics like cotton, linen, silk — or a blend — mean you won’t swelter in the summer heat.

Beauty products at Lush Cosmetics and Sephora at Memorial City Mall

The new Sephora store at Memorial City Mall, a spacious 7,632 square feet, offers over 13,000 products including 200 brands of makeup, skincare, tools and accessories from Givenchy, Algenist, Kat Von D, Bumble and Bumble and the likes. Don’t get bogged down trying to guess which products suit you best. Grab a beauty expert before hitting the shelves.

Head up Lush Cosmetics for — people, not animal — tried and tested, 100 percent vegetarian goods such as soaps, shower gels, face masks and lotions, all made with contents like fruits and vegetables, essential oils, synthetic ingredients, honey and beeswax. The new 766-square-foot store at Memorial City marks the UK based chain’s 13th locale in Texas.

    Custom-made shoes at Ferragamo

Making shoe shopping personal, Ferragamo is putting you in the driver's seat via its newly launched online program, MTO Driver Customization. Mix and match the design of a pair of the Italian brand’s posh loafers for men, mad scientist-style.

With the click of a few buttons, you can deck out the soles, upper body and metal hardware choosing from a roster of colors, materials (from crocodile to suede mink) and finishings like polished gold and graphite. Go all out and add your initials to the inside of your one-of-a-kind creation.

Workout apparel and shoes at Adidas and Converse at Katy Mills

Two new stores at Katy Mills mall are aimed at the serious athletes and fashionistas alike. A new Adidas store, with a massive offering of stylish workout apparel, footwear and accessories, is sure to elevate your game.

Take a step in the right direction with a pair of Chucks. The iconic sneaker, available in a variety of colors and styles, along with apparel and more, is yours for the taking at the freestanding Converse store at Katy Mills, set to open this Thursday.

    Artistic T-shirts at Gap

Emerging artists from around the world have partnered with Gap, adding their own stamp to the brand's logo on a classic Gap tee. Gap Remix Project 2015, available online only for U.S. shoppers, features edgy T-shirt prints by the likes of Tokyo’s Fantasista Utamaro, San Francisco’s Kyle Pierce and London’s Neville Brady.

Sexy workout wear line, BrasilSul, is available at More Than You Can Imagine.

Boys are welcome to read the books on the shelves.

Houston’s premier boys-only boutique now has a permanent home in Rice Village. ParkerJoe, which offers clothing, accessories, and lifestyle brands that takes lads from wee tykes to pre-adolescent (in sizes newborn to 16), originally opened last year in a temporary spot in the River Oaks Shopping Center.

Now open at 5515 Kelvin Dr., Suite 95, the store unfolds across 1,900 square feet, all of it stocked with the retailer’s carefully curated inventory that embraces all kinds of boys and all types of occasions. Families will find looks that range from formal and preppy to sporty and casual, with brands such as Bailey Boys, Classic Prep, Saltwater Boys, and Appaman as well as local brands like Sunnies, which specializes in polarized sunglasses for children, and onesies from Houston children’s apparel purveyor Oink Moo.

“We wanted to create a place where boys are seen and heard,” said Lisa Hostler, who owns the store with her daughter Chelsea. “Their needs and their wants are represented at ParkerJoe.”

Hostler is excited to be in the Rice Village spot, an affluent area known for its walkability and attractiveness for families, which make it an ideal location for a niche retailer like ParkerJoe.

“It’s a younger population and a strong retail mix,” she said. “We couldn’t be happier here in a center that has welcomed us so warmly and made us feel at home.”

The store itself is designed to help boys enjoy the sometimes awkward process of shopping for new clothes. Towards that end, they are welcome to touch and play with toys on the shelves, which are stocked with books, games, and stuffed animals.

An official grand opening is planned for September, but prior to that customers can expect a summer of events including trunk shows, a fashion show, and an influencer brunch.

Even as Lisa and Chelsea are excited to be in Rice Village, they are setting their sights on continued expansion. They currently have a temporary outpost in Memorial City Mall, and are looking for retail locations in other Houston neighborhoods, with a desire to open across Texas.

ParkerJoe in Rice Village is open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.
