Lacoste has been the official outfitter for the French Open for more than 40 years. But now, for the first time, the famed French sports fashion label known for its iconic alligator logo is offering a men’s and women’s tennis-themed French Open collection in U.S. stores, including the Galleria, as well as outside Roland Garros stadium in Paris, where matches kicked off on Sunday.
For the first time, Lacoste is offering its French Open collection in U.S. stores, including the Galleria.
The Lacoste Roland Garros Collection includes graphic T-shirts and vintage sweatshirts in navy and white with a favorite phrase of French tennis great Rene Lacoste, "“L’essentiel est que demeure le Fair play” ("The main thing is that fair play prevails"). Another version includes this phrase in English: "Without style, playing and winning are not enough."
Some T-shirts also include photographic silhouettes of Lacoste.
The women’s line also includes polo shirts and dresses with mesh sleeves while men's looks include the classic cotton pique polo shirt with oversized alligator logo, cardigan sweaters and jackets of tech fabric. Prices range from $55 to $200.
To kick off the summer, Lacoste U.S. boutiques and lacoste.com are offering a special promotion through May 31: Buy any 2 summer essentials and receive 25 percent off on purchase. The promotion includes swimwear, flip flops, Bermuda shorts, T-shirts, caps, beach towels, sunglasses and sportswear.
