Lap Dance Teacher
Houston middle school lap dance teacher finds herself in a creepy national spotlight — as she faces jail time
An Aldine ISD middle school teacher finds herself in hot water after allegedly making the bizarre decision to give a birthday gift lap dance to one of her students. And she unwittingly made herself a national talking point — with publications and TV stations across the country covering the incident.
Felicia Smith, 42, has been charged with having an improper relationship with a student.
Smith allegedly got on her knees in front of the student and placed her head in his lap. The student admitted to slapping his teacher's buttocks a few times.
The incident allegedly occurred on February 26 at Stovall Middle School in Aldine. According to the male student, 15, Smith took his journal and prevented him from talking to his friends when he walked into his third-period class, according to KHOU 11. The student sat at his desk, and following the tardy bell, Smith placed a chair at the front of the classroom.
Music began playing and other students began yelling at him to sit down as it was his birthday.
The student sat down and alleges that his teacher gave him a full contact lap dance, with Smith rubbing her buttocks and hands all over his body. Smith allegedly got on her knees in front of the student and placed her head in his lap. The student admitted to slapping his teacher's buttocks a few times.
Following the lap dance, Smith hugged the student and he touched her buttocks again. She is reported to have told him "I love you, baby. Happy birthday."
Smith admitted during questioning that she gave the 15-year-old student a lap dance at the behest of his classmates. She recalled losing her balance when she was performing the dance, which made the students laugh. According to Smith, the performance lasted about four minutes.
According to investigators, who reviewed video of the lap dance performance, the dance actually lasted 3.54 minutes. Both the Harris County District Attorney's Office and the Aldine ISD Police Department have copies of the video.
Aldine ISD released the following statement:
