Luxe Bowling
Luxe bowling alley offers personal servers, private suite, 5-pound burgers and nightclub good times
Bowlmor Houston recently unveiled major renovations, adding a state-of-the-art arcade and a 50-foot-long sports bar, as well as luxury finishes throughout the venue's massive space, in a quest to be known as Houston's most luxurious bowling alley.
The new and improved surroundings were revealed during a grand re-opening celebration at the Bunker Hill Road location, just off I-10. With 39 stylishly-designed lanes, all backed by huge music video walls, as well as a sizable arcade filled with interactive games, Bowlmor's nightclub-inspired ambience make for a unique bowling experience, especially for those used to the dark lighting and gloomy feel of many traditional alleys.
Each of the lanes comes with a personal server, offering guests beer, wine and signature cocktails while you bowl.
If you're feeling peckish, Bowlmor also serves tasty dishes ranging from shareable appetizers like crab and artichoke dip and mango habanero wings to full-on entrees such as chicken caesar flatbreads and burgers. If you have a hearty appetite, order the "Behemoth Burger," which weighs in at 5 pounds and measures 14 inches around and topped off with a tower of onion rings — you'll want to bring some friends as it's certainly meant for sharing.
The massive venue — which seems geared towards a more adult-aged crowd — is capable of accommodating up to 300 guests at a time, and also features a private lounge with billiard tables and flat-screen TVs, as well as a 7-lane private bowling suite complete with its own bar.
Known for late-night hours, Bowlmor Houston is open Monday from 4 pm to 1 am, Tuesday through Thursday from 4 pm to midnight, Friday from 4 pm to 2 am, Saturday from 11 am to 2 am, and Sunday from 11 am to midnight. (No person under 21 years of age will be admitted after 10 pm on Friday or Saturday unless bowling in a family or group that includes a parent.)
