Tweet when you touch down
Continental wants to give you the Presidents Club treatment when you've#justlanded
What's the first thing you do after your flight lands? We're willing to bet that, in this hyperconnected day and age, almost 100% of you push that "on" button on your cell phone.
Well, Continental is hoping that the second thing you'll do is tweet.
For six weeks, ending Jan. 6, not only does Continental want you to follow them on Twitter, but they want you tweeting your Continental flight number and affixing those tweets with the #justlanded hashtag.
Sure, that's just great. That boosts Continental's numbers on social media. Fabulous. The real question is, "What's in it for me?"
Twitter users meeting the aforementioned criteria are entered into a weekly drawing where they can win the royal treatment every passenger deserves. Like a Presidents Club membership, for example. Which pretty much makes the watery theory of a pre-lift-off buzz a tangible reality every single time you fly.
We know you might stow away on a last-minute trip over the holidays, you rascal you. We know Southwest was looking pretty good to you, too. Does this make you more likely to fly Continental?
We'd love to know.
