Flying Cheap
Big bargains are coming in for a landing during Southwest's quick fare sale
Bargain hunters, rejoice! Southwest Airline's twice-annual fare sale is back, and one-way flights out of Houston are as low as $49.
The three-day sale covers travel from October 31 until December 19 and January 3 through February 14, but flights on Fridays and Sundays are excluded.
From Houston Hobby Airport, one-way flights to Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Harlingen, Memphis, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, and Tulsa are only $49 or less on some days.
One-way flights from Houston to such destinations as Atlanta, Omaha, and Pensacola are $79: $99 each way to Ft. Lauderdale, Charleston, and Kansas City; $129 each way to Los Angeles or Oakland; and $139 on one-way flights to Cancun and Cabo San Lucas.
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, however, those fares increase and can as much as double in price.
And you must hurry as the sale ends Thursday night (October 12) at 11:59 pm in the time zone of the originating city.
