Yellowstone bison attacks dumb tourists and the Internet can't get enough: Seewhat you're missing
Apparently some people just don't comprehend the difference between a domestic animal and an honest-to-goodness wildlife, as a recent video of a near-miss bison attack at Yellowstone National Park proves.
Though the National Park Service warns that bison are "agile and quick, capable of speeds in excess of 30 mph" and known to injure visitors who get too close, the video captures a group of visitors — including adults and young children — approach a bull grazing by a pathway in the park.
And then everyone laughs! Because nearly getting impaled by an animal is funny! Ha. Ha.
The bison becomes visibly irritated as the people get closer while someone behind the camera gives a play-by-play. They continue to move forward so the bison (predictably) charges in pursuit of a young boy, who narrowly misses a horn to the backside.
And then everyone laughs! Because nearly getting impaled by an animal is funny! Ha. Ha.
"This video is one that makes us angry, especially at the irresponsible person behind the camera urging the children "to go ahead and touch him,"" the West Yellowstone Chamber of Commerce posted on its Facebook page. "This group has no idea how incredibly lucky they were that no one was injured or killed."
