Southwest resumes nonstop flights from Houston to Caribbean hot spot

Get ready to pack your sunscreen and your bathing suit. Southwest Airlines is resuming weekly seasonal service from Hobby Airport to one of the most popular spots in the Caribbean — Aruba.
The Dallas-based airline says weekly seasonal flights between Houston and Queen Beatrix International Airport will return November 9. The nonstop to Aruba will depart at 11:05 am Saturdays and arrive at 5:25 pm. The Aruba-to-Houston nonstop will depart at 3:50 pm Saturdays and arrive at 6:45 pm.
Also beginning November 9 are services from San Antonio to Cancun. The nonstop to Cancun will depart at 5:55 am Saturdays and arrive at 9:25 am. The Cancun-to-San Antonio nonstop will depart at 10:20 am Saturdays and arrive at noon.
In Austin, daily seasonal service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to Cancun International Airport will return November 3. The nonstop flight from Austin to Cancun will depart at 12:55 pm and arrive at 4:25 pm. The nonstop flight from Cancun to ABIA will depart at 4:15 pm and arrive at 6 pm.
United Airlines and Sun Country Airlines also offer nonstop service from Austin to Cancun, but it’s available only during the summer. Cancun’s Caribbean beaches and nightlife draw millions of tourists every year, with many of them arriving from the U.S.
