Houston's Brightest Take Bows
A room full of H-Town notables gather to celebrate selection of haute leadership
If there was ever any doubt that H-Town is brimming with admirable community leaders, The Social Book's "Houston Treasures" announcement dinner puts that notion to bed. Witness the recent "Bright Lights of Houston" dinner where the ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Houston was filled with those who make a positive difference in our city.
For the 13th consecutive year, The Social Book honored individuals and couples representing each of the 12 months of the year, their photos and bios to be featured in the 2016 edition of the social calendar/resource guide.
Applauded for their philanthropy, volunteerism and leadership were Donna and Bob Bruni, Fran Fauntleroy, Lily and Charles Foster, Nancy Gordon, Terri and John Havens, Betty Hrncir, Pam Lockard and Ron Sterlekar, Joella and Steve Mach, Kim Moody, Judy and Scott Nyquist, Linda Gale and Mark White and Joanne and Welcome Wilson.
Welcoming the heady throng were The Social Book's publisher Scott Evans, editor Jeff Henry and partner Sami Shbeeb; Houston Treasures founder Warner Roberts; and Hyatt Regency Houston GM Tom Netting.
Among those attending were Kristi Schiller, Nino Shbeeb, Fred Zeidman, Angie and Cliff Roberts, Deborah Duncan, Monica Hartland, Cora Sue and Harry Mach, Mary and Tony Gracely, Annette and George Strake, Carolyn Farb and Gordon Strobeck.
