Scenic Houston gets a boost from city power players: Better looking streets are on the way

The 411: Kathryn Coleman, Kathy Elek, Ashley Grigsby, Olga Moya, Claudia Williamson and Ellyn Wulfe chaired the evening that brought out more than 300 individuals who value the city's landscape and value the organization's efforts at halting visual blight and improving the appearance of Houston’s streetscapes.
Ric Campo, Camden Property Trust CEO, received the Scenic Visionary Award while Margaret Lloyd, Scenic Texas vice president, was honored with the Scenic Hero Award.
The non-profit also celebrated the success of its Campaign for a More Scenic Houston, which raised more than $800,000 for programs which emphasize that beauty supports economic development, livability and tourism.
